Barendra Krushna Sahoo has over 15 years of experience in survey research in Operation Research Group and other agencies. He has been working in the areas of bio-diversity assessment, environment assessment, and social assessment areas with several clients such as the World Bank, DFID, UNDP, etc. Since last fifteen years he has been working on issues related to Rural and Urban livelihood, Water and Sanitation, Rural energy , Micro-finance, Health, Education, Mining and socio-economic areas. He has managed various assignments in these areas and is a key member of the Social Transformation Group. His recent assignments include projects such as preparation of District Development Plans for Cuttack, Jharsuguda and Kalahandi Districts, socio-economic survey for a sponge iron Industry, Biomass Assessment study for biore, India, Preparation of District Human Development Report of Kalahandi District, Support for Equity Strategy Development in Health Sector, Orissa.
